Garden Therapy has a great tutorial for preparing these pretty lavender oatmeal soap cupcakes. I’m sure they smell and feel wonderful. These are definitely on my ‘to do’ list. I love lavender, such a soothing scent. Sometimes I just dilute a little lavender essential oil in a spray bottle to freshen up my laundry closet or bedding.

Bath Bombs
Wow! Bath bombs are all the rage. I’m certainly spend many winter evenings relaxing in my clawfoot tub. This recipe from The Makeup Dummy uses fresh lemon juice in place of citric acid. You still get a nice fizz, but might be able to make these tonight with ingredients you already have.
Wine Bottle Candles
I love burning scented candles while soaking in the tub or sitting in a comfy chair with a blanket and a great book. Lovely Greens has a tutorial for making candles out of old wine bottles. Instructions for cutting the wine bottles are included and I just love those wooden wicks. Really a nice rustic look.

After a stressful day, a face scrub helps me feel like I’m regenerating my spirits. This DIY tutorial from Brit + Co uses a small list of ingredients. The recipe is flexible allowing you to customize the texture with different salts or sugars and the color or aroma with different fruits.
